Press Enterprise Editorial Board: “This Is an Easy Call. Re-Elect Jeff Gonzalez.”

IMPERIAL, CA — Today, Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez released the following statement after the Press Enterprise Editorial Board endorsed his re-election to represent the 36th Assembly District.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Press Enterprise Editorial Board. I ran for office to serve the people of this district, and that means showing up, listening and working to deliver results for every community from Indio to Blythe, Needles to Anza, and throughout Imperial County.

Whether it’s standing up for veterans and people with disabilities, fighting for public safety and affordability, or making sure our rural communities have a voice in Sacramento, I will continue putting people over politics and working with anyone willing to get things done for the people we serve.

The Press Enterprise recognized that my record is about being willing to ‘reach across the political divide to solve problems.’ That is exactly how I approached my service as a Marine, and it is how I will continue serving the people of the 36th District. The Press Enterprise Editorial Board wrote, “These are pragmatic, community-focused priorities that reflect what voters should expect from their elected representative.”
